Ready Steady Cook

Ready Steady Cook is the annual cooking competition for Cubs, Scouts, and Explorers. Preparing a meal linked to a set theme, teams have the use of non-electricals and two gas rings.

In their packs, troops, or units, the teams research and learn to prepare their chosen menu in week-to-week sessions, before competing at the district final. The competition is a great display of not only great cooking but also teamwork and time management, as young people work against the clock to prepare their two-course meal.
