Just the like that, the weekend’s over and Wallaboree 2026 has come to an end. The tents have been packed and the campers have headed home.

Over the last three days, we’ve welcomed more than 420 Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, and Explorers to the largest Wallaboree yet! This year’s theme was Planet Earth, coinciding with David Attenborough’s 100th Birthday

Following the arrival of the Cubs, Scouts, and Explorers on Friday, everyone settled in before the camp was kickstarted with the opening ceremony and campfire.

Saturday came and the visiting Squirrels and Beavers were added to the mix. Over the morning and afternoon sessions, activities such as laser tag, mountain biking, tomahawk throwing, grass sledging, caving, bushcraft, and crate stacking were run. The Explorers left site to try their hand at clay pigeon shooting, as a thanks for helping run the activities for the younger sections. Evening fell, and the day was wrapped up with popcorn, side show games, and the inflatables.

Sunday arrived with a more chilled atmosphere around the site as the Cubs, Scouts, and Explorers took to the activities one last time. The camp was finally brought to a close in Campfire Hollow with the closing ceremony.

We can’t leave this post without thanking the incredible volunteers who have made Wallaboree possible. From the group leaders to the activity supervisors, everyone has made this weekend happen. A special thank you goes to the Wallaboree Organising Committee who have worked tirelessly over the last seven months to prepare for the event.
